About this training


The program includes at least one person who will share their personal story with participants about how alcohol, drug abuse and the illegal conduct of others impacted their life. Our speakers relate their personal experiences and how substance abuse affected them. We strive to provide viewpoints from law enforcement, former addicts, family and former substance abusers. These stories are examples of how substance abuse can touch people far outside our immediate scope of influence. Another component of our program is that we address and identify the victims at every level of substance abuse. That includes the person abusing substances or dealing with the legal system due to a substance related incident.

A victims impact panel program is intended to be attended by persons who have committed the offense of driving, operating or being in actual physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicating substance. A certificate of completion will be issued to the person attending upon completion of the program and payment of the required fee. The fee for the program is $50 on or prior to the day of the program or $60 if you pay at a later date. Replacement fee for lost certificates is $25. Credit Cards, Cash and Money Orders only accepted the day of the program. You must arrive 30 minutes early if paying at the program and 10 minutes prior if you have prepaid.

Objectives and Schedule

12:30 p.m. – 12:50 p.m.

• Sign in and same day payments collected.

1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

• Victim Impact Panel Program

3:00 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.

• Certificates distributed.

The program will last approximately two hours and features video, powerpoint presentations and in-person testimony on substance abuse. Once the program begins you will not be admitted or readmitted. Please take care of your personal needs prior to the program start.
